Sampo Immonen is heading line wide research & development of Board and Paper Machines technology unit at Valmet. His career at Valmet started in 2010 and since then he has worked at various positions in engineering, technology and sales. He has strong expertise in Valmet’s future concepts and technology development needs especially in areas of sustainability, plastic replacement, and continuous competitiveness development. He believes that technology is the key for sustainable future.
