A new revolutionary portable moisture meter model MK30R is published. It is a unique model utilizing new microwave technology. It has the capability of penetrating deep into matter, 30 mm typically. Measuring area is 40 mm in diameter. It has its own keyboard and display and data transfer is via a Bluetooth 100 m wireless link. All existing programs are capable of reading the data. Applications are in pulp, paper, corrugated, wood, soil, animal feed etc. Both the basis weight and the moisture ranges are exceptionally wide. Black papers are now possible to be measured. MK30R can measure both rotating and static reels and most running paper webs down to about 30 g/m2 at 5% moisture. It has a device for sensing the distance to match every time the same profile along the reel.
