Valmet’s polyurethane cover for highly loaded LNP rolls Valmet Press Roll Cover PP in paper machine’s press section offers low rolling resistance and enables savings in drive power. The reduction of drive energy can be up to 25% compared to typical rubber covers. Valmet Press Roll Cover PP is designed to run without internal water cooling and pump energy and bring long running periods. Another Valmet’s polyurethane cover, Valmet Press Roll Cover PK enables utilization of softer roll cover in hot and heavily loaded positions in all press and suction roll applications, resulting in improved bulk in the end products and savings in drive power through low rolling resistance.
