
The Role
We are looking for an analytical and collaborative Price Reporter to join our Forest Products team at Fastmarkets FOEX in Helsinki to manage part of our paper price indices. Accuracy with information, attention to detail and ability to meet weekly publishing deadlines are key qualities to be successful in the role. The team collaborates closely, and you will learn from other team members. Other learning opportunities include in-house training and possibility to travel to international industry conferences. Our specialist price reporting team works flexibly in a hybrid mode combining remote work with office days. Our office is centrally located in Helsinki at Suomitalo. Principal Accountabilities
- Produce European PIX indices for weekly publication.
- Maintain quality of contact list and add new contacts to ensure adequate market coverage.
- Maintain index production methodology ensuring compliance with the IOSCO Principles for PRA’s.
- Monitor market development in the paper industry field to gain understanding of the market and produce informative market commentary.
- Peer review and back-up for other FOEX prices for consistent publication

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.
Education: relevant Bachelor’s degree or above.
Previous experience and industry background: minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including internships, preferably in the forest products sector in e.g. market intelligence, sales, marketing or communications field.
Language requirements: Excellent working proficiency in written English and some other European language. Knowledge of German is a benefit.
Proficiency: The employee should master the basics of the index calculation and publication process within the first few weeks. For someone with previous experience in the pulp and paper area, market knowledge is expected immediately.
